Capital Donation Campaign
The Boost For Kids Foundation is pleased to discuss targeted capital donations and the manner of recognition. Thanks to the Federal Budget of May 2006, you no longer pay capital gains tax when you gift appreciated securities to the Boost For Kids Foundation.
When individuals sell an appreciated stock, mutual fund or flow through shares, they are required to pay tax on 50 percent of the capital gain. However, if they donate the securities to charity, they pay no capital gains tax. This makes appreciated stock one of the most cost effective ways to donate to the Boost For Kids Foundation.
Boost for Kids Monthly Giving
In this past year, the Boost for Kids Foundation has recognized the need to undertake a new type of annual campaign that is all-inclusive and gives everyone connected with Boost an opportunity to make their gift. The Boost for Kids Monthly Giving grew from this vision for a formalized annual campaign and speaks clearly to the intent of the campaign - to give everyone the opportunity to make a charitable gift to express their belief in the work of Boost.
